How to think outside the box

We are going to cover the guerilla marketing tactics here, and we start of with how you can think outside the box.

Usually when we do marketing, we think about adding a slogan or something from our USP (Unique Selling Points), that is all good and dandy, and should work in most cases.

But if you want more attention you need to really be different, if people can’t see you, it will be a hard time to get people to notice you or your company. Not everyone is a major SP500 company with massive marketing budgets.

The creative process of thinking outside the box should be weird, think of absurdities. It help if you are more people in the process, or tag up with some friends and bounce ideas around.

For example, if you have a tea shop, you could burp up facts about teas and brands and sorts on flyer. But will that get peoples attention. Probably not. But add a 1 meter x 1 meter colored paper with your shops name and add a rope to it and put the rope in a well or bin. You certainly find more ideas to do, and for pretty cheap penny too.
